The food is not great. Lots of National chains and the local ones with high recommendations we visited, which were not chains, were mediocre. Airport was a joke for such a big city. A new one is coming, I was told, but going in and out was not impressive. It is a fantastic city for a getaway weekend! The Legends Outlet and the Plaza are great for shopping! We stayed at the Marriot near the Plaza and it was beautiful to see the city lights from the 18th floor! If you are looking for a miracle!
Kansas is the city for It. It is a blessing, as a church. And people are wonderful. The pastor is a Man of God. I lived here for 30 years and moved away 7 years ago. I come back often to visit family and I enjoy coming back to see the many updates the city has done to make it look nice Kansas City, Kansas is getting a much needed makeover Nice place to visit and live So much to do!
Something for everyone! Sealife and crown plaza was lots of fun, the zoo is amazing. If your kids like trains make sure and eat at Fritz's. The firework display was the best and the airshow was great! We enjoyed Kansas City very much, we went to the World War 1 Musium which was very nice and interesting, we tool in the Hall Mark center , and went to two plays Funny Girl and the story of Buddy Holly and both were awesome, we visited the Union Rail Road Station and that was very interesting.
We would go back as there is a lot to do in Kansas City. Our room was pretty clean, quiet and beds were comfortable. However, they were advertised as one of the hotels in the area who follow strict Covid protocols and masks in their lobby. My family was the only one masked and communal areas seemed iffy on the cleanliness.
I did go over all surfaces in our room with disinfectant wipes. We stayed at this location twice. The first time it was great.
